What this is

Auspex is an astrology app: it computes charts and calendars from astronomical data and presents traditional interpretive material alongside them. It is offered for reflection and interest.

What it is not

Auspex is not advice — not medical, psychological, legal or financial. Nothing it shows you is a prediction of what will happen, and no decision with real consequences should rest on it. If you are struggling, please talk to a professional rather than to a chart.

Your account

You need an account, you must be 16 or older, and you are responsible for what happens under your login. Give accurate birth details if you want accurate charts — bad input produces a confident, wrong answer, which is worse than none.

Subscriptions

Paid tiers are sold through the app stores and billed by them. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends, and cancellation and refunds are handled by the store you bought through, under that store's rules.

If a subscription ends and you hold more charts than the lower tier allows, nothing is deleted: the extra charts are archived and you choose which stay active. Archived data is kept intact and comes back if you resubscribe.

Accuracy

The astronomy is computed carefully and tested against a reference implementation, and the published tolerances are on the methodology page. It is still offered without warranty: software has bugs, ephemerides have limits, and a chart is only ever as good as the birth data it was given.

Acceptable use

Don't scrape it, don't resell the computed output as a service, don't try to break the limits on your tier, and don't use it to harass anyone or to make claims about people who have not asked for them.

Your content

Birth data, labels and notes you enter stay yours. We store and process them to run the service, as set out in the privacy policy, and claim nothing else.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from within the app, and the data goes with it. We may suspend an account that is being used abusively or fraudulently.

Liability, and the law that applies
